CHIOMA IWUNZE-IBIAM2My name is Chioma Iwunze-Ibiam, and I recently completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. I am an author, a trained teacher and writing coach.

In 2010, Chimamanda Adichie selected me for the prestigious Farafina Trust Creative Writing Workshop. The next year, I attended both the NLNG/ Nigeria Academy of Letters workshop and the Fidelity Bank International Writing Workshop. I  was selected to attend the FEMRITE residency and the Ebedi Hills International Residency program. I recently completed a Commonwealth Education Trust program called Writing For Young Readers.

My first novel Finding Love Again was published by Ankara Press. I have published short stories in several newspapers and literary journals including MTLS, Long Story Short, Fiction 365, Saraba, and Tribes Write. Awards and prizes include the 2014 ACT award semi-finalist, Cecilia Unaegbu flash fiction contest and farafinablog’s Voice of America flash fiction contest. The Nigerian Writers’ Awards named me as one of the 100 most influential writers under 40.

I love creative writing, philosophy, science and logic.

    Hello Chioma. Nice reading about you here. I am Yinka Adeboye. I am a writer too and a poet. I enjoy what I am doing. I write in English and Yoruba Languages.
